The Telework Improvements Act of 2007 to ensure that all
eligible employees have the opportunity to telework by:
improving telework programs in Federal
agencies and incorporating telework in continuity of operations
planning.
requiring each agency head to establish
a policy that allows employees to telework one business day per week
in at least 48 weeks of the year
establish a senior level employee as the
Telework Managing Officer to implement telework policies for the
agency, tracking system and information collection
requires agencies to incorporate
telework into the continuity of operations planning of that agency
Provide appropriate training to
supervisors, managers, and all employees who are authorized to
telework
Provide annual telework report to the
Committee on Oversight and Government Reform of the House of
Representatives and the Committee on Homeland Security and
Government Affairs of the Senate
