Many governments,
at federal, city and state/province levels, are beginning to
understand that there are many other benefits. Aside from the obvious transportation and environmental
benefits, telework can:

reduce wear and
tear on roadways,

increase job
opportunities for disabled
& mobility restricted,
-
allow work to continue
during emergencies (eg strikes, snow, ice, medical problems
such as SARS etc)

help reduce
daytime break-ins and other crimes
-
help reduce the demand for parking, but there
is no government leadership to make it happen
