Susan Garms, director
Susan is a Consultant in Telework Solutions and Change Management. Susan has
extensive experience and expertise as a remote work specialist, and has
worked from her home in Richmond Hill since 2000.
Most recently Susan was employed at Bell Canada and among her many
assignments; Susan was involved in deploying Bell’s ‘flexSpace’ telework
initiative — which blends telework with the optimization of the company’s
real estate. She also facilitated highly rated workshops for both remote
workers and their managers.
Susan has taken part in various conferences and organizations, including
2005’s Conference on Climate Control in Montreal and 2007’s International
Telework Symposium in Tokyo, Japan, 2008’s Saskatchewan Economic Development
Association Conference seminars aimed at creating awareness of the issues
and benefits of telework and its impact on individuals and various other
conferences on virtual work in Ontario.
She has a business degree from Ryerson University and is currently enrolled
at York University studying Sociology in the Workplace. Susan also has
multiple Business Certificates and continues to expand her knowledge and
skills through programs and courses in such fields as telework,
communication, training and development, consulting, project management as
well as change management.
Susan brings extensive telecommunications and remote work expertise to her
clients. She has enjoyed a breadth of experience within the
telecommunications industry, including Sales, Project Management, Change
Management, Marketing, and Personal Development. Susan is a facilitator
and consultant in various areas including virtual work, leadership
development, creative problem solving, and change management. She is also
sits on the board of the Canadian Telework Association.
Susan’s passion is in learning, always looking for challenges and
opportunities that will stretch her creativity. She is a strong communicator
and is known for her integrity.
